Meet the Penguins (0-2 years)

Meet The Penguins

Our 0–2 room is a nurturing, gentle, and deeply caring space where our youngest learners are welcomed with warmth, respect, and love. We understand that these early years are incredibly important, as they lay the foundation for children’s emotional security, confidence, and future learning. Our environment is calm, safe, and responsive, allowing babies and toddlers to feel secure as they explore, discover, and grow at their own pace.

Our program for this age group is thoughtfully designed to support key developmental milestones, including building attachments, developing communication, movement, sensory exploration, and early social skills. Through play-based learning, sensory experiences, and meaningful interactions, we encourage curiosity, independence, and a strong sense of belonging. Our educators are attentive and responsive, following each child’s individual interests, rhythms, and needs. We strongly believe that families are children’s first and most important teachers, and we value genuine partnerships with parents and caregivers. We work closely with families to

To support busy families, we make daily routines as simple and stress-free as possible. We provide all meals, nappies, and bed linen, so you can enjoy smooth, easy drop-offs knowing your child is fully cared for. Our goal is to make your experience as seamless and reassuring as possible while your child receives high-quality care in a loving environment.understand each child’s routines, preferences, and development, ensuring continuity between home and the centre. Together, we celebrate each child’s achievements, support their growth, and provide them with the very best start in life in a loving, respectful, and supportive environment.

How the CCS works

The CCS is paid directly to approved child care providers, which then pass on the benefit as a fee reduction to families. Families pay the remaining balance, known as the ‘gap fee.’ The amount of CCS a family receives depends on the following factors:

  • Combined family income: The subsidy percentage is determined by the family’s annual adjusted taxable income. For lower-income families, the subsidy can cover up to 90% of child care costs. As income increases, the subsidy percentage decreases on a sliding scale. There is an upper income limit, beyond which families may not receive any subsidy.
  • Activity test: The subsidy amount is also influenced by the parents’ level of activity, including work, study, training, or volunteering. Generally, the more hours parents engage in these activities, the more hours of subsidised child care they can access. There are four activity levels, which correspond to the maximum number of subsidised hours a child can receive: up to 24, 36, 72 or 100 hours per fortnight.
